The Importance of World Music

Can you imagine how would the world look like without the music being created? Thanks to the wisdom of God who has given the mankind the ability to create music, music now gives flavor to our lives. Music lovers often said that music is life. I don’t consider myself too much as a music lover. I mean I love music but I don’t listen to that most of the time though I play bass. I am not like those people who consider themselves as music lover that even a single minute without music is already hell for them. Even if I am not much of a music lover, still I could attest to the claim that living here on earth without music is a punishment. Music is like water, without it we are doomed. Speaking of water, Worthing plumbers are always available to help in case you need a water system job. Because of people’s passion for music, they were able to create world music.

What is world music?

World music is a category of music that encompasses many different styles of music from all over the world. These types of music include traditional music, quasi-traditional music, and even music where more than one cultural tradition are intermingling with each other. World music’s ethic of interest in the exotic cultures is encapsulated; they even got the description as the local music from out there. The term has originated in the late twentieth century as an academic classification and marketing category for non-Western traditional music.
